Glengarry Highland Games - Ottawa, Ontario

It 'that time of year again when the competitor throwing sticks and lift heavy loads in a practice that is common with the Scottish tradition.

A Scottish fiddler for over 25 years, says MacLeod, his favorite event is the Band, where all the bands to the field at the same time. The atmosphere is "indescribable." This year, the year of violin and features musicians from near and far to celebrate all weekend.

For Adele St. DenisGames are like the Olympics, but the Scottish way. "He attended several Highland Games, while growing in a small town, Bainesville, the county is located in Glengarry.

Kettle bells are modern versions of the metal ball to do with a ring. You see, like the old version, and are sold in all stores sports equipment.

There are many exercises that can be made with Kettle bells and educational programs are commonavailable.

An exercise based on weight for height event called The Swing. In this exercise, it changes your body to Crouch, with the weight on your heels, keep your back straight. The kettle bell is held between the legs. Use swing your legs and hips, as the driving force, the weight in front of you, above the eyes. Then the weight will drop down to the starting position and repeat. This is a strenuous workout that builds core muscles.
