Using Small Sided Soccer Games in Practice

As newer coaches begin learning how to coach soccer, most of their efforts go toward running drills to try to teach their players specific skills. That is to be expected. Often times you are given a team with very little understanding of how to play, so the coach has to start from scratch with teaching skills. The problem is, spending too much time concentrating on specific skills will not necessarily prepare your players for game situations.

As you learn more about how to coach soccer, you should work on coming up with ways to work the skills you are trying to teach your team into game situations. A great way to do this is to use small sided games as a part of your regular practices.

A lot of soccer coaches will use scrimmages, but small sided soccer games are a little different. Small sided games are small, controlled games that allow players to concentrate on certain aspects of the game. Rather than just blowing the whistle and letting your kids start playing a game, small sided games typically will set different goals or put different rules on the game. For instance, if you want your team to work on passing skills, you might set a rule that requires a team to make 3 successful passes before they are allowed to take a shot on goal. Or you could change the scoring to say that for every 3 successful passes a team makes, they get 1 point. This makes the team think more about passing than in shooting.

There are many different variations you could put together that make your team focus on one particular part of the game. If you want your team to get used to defensive pressure, you could set up a situation where you have 2 players on the field that always play defense. That way the attacking team is always outnumbered. You could require players to only shoot with their non-dominate foot. There are countless different situations you could set up for your players.

Teaching your players to play soccer is just that; you are teaching them to play. While skills are important, if they can't perform those skills during a game then knowing the skill is of very limited value. Knowing how to coach soccer means knowing how to get your players ready to use what you have taught them during a game. If they can do that, you have done your job as a youth soccer coach.

PSP Game Iso's - How to Find and Install Them in Your PSP

So you want to download PSP game iso's. You obviously want to get your hands on more games than you are willing to pay for. The Sony Play Station Portable (PSP) itself doesn't come cheap; after all, it's a sleek handheld game console, music and video player, and with some homebrew apps, turns into a PDA. The PSP games themselves cost a bundle each. So the solution is to download PSP game iso's, for free, if you can, and enjoy the games. This article shows you how to find websites with PSP game iso downloads, websites that offer the best download experience. We will also cover the installation of the downloaded games.

Websites that offer PSP game iso downloads fall into two categories. The free and the nonfree. The nonfree is better, as you will see. The free websites you can tell with the tons of pop up and banners ads, the slow download speed, the limited selection of games, the spyware and adware that sneaks into your PC after the download completes in a day.

The paid for or commercial websites offer more than just PSP game iso downloads - wallpapers, music, video, instructional guides, and so on. The problem lies in the joining fee, monthly membership fee, and in some instances a per-download fee. The commercials sites however offer the reverse of mostly everything the free sites have - fast download, wide array of games, no spyware, and so on.

The trick is to find commercial sites that offer only a one-time joining fee, and afterwards allows you access to its database of PSP game iso's, among other things. If you can find sites like that, you will have a headache free experience in choosing from a library of demo and full package games to download.

Before you download game, be sure you check if your PSP's firmware allows you to run those games. Sometimes you might need to downgrade your PSP's firmware to an older one, especially since you might be playing hacked games and game emulators (SNES, GameBoy, etc.). Corrupt files downloaded are often traceable to firmware's incompatibility with the games. So read the instructions on downloads on the website well.

Be sure you will be downloading PSP game iso files. If you bought the full game, the instructions and installation will be simple and easy. If you chose the demo, and this is recommended, you can have access to a part of the game so you won't have to uninstall a stupid game later on; instead, just download the whole game. After all, you paid for unlimited access, and not on a per-download basis.

That's it. Have fun downloading and installing PSP game iso's.

CECT i9 Games - How to Install, Download, and Play Them

One big selling point of the CECT i9 is that, unlike some previous models, it includes Java.  This allow you to download and use third party software and games.  This means that your choice of games on this phone is huge.  I often get questions about how to get, download, install, and play games on the phone, though.  I'll go over this process in the following article.

Java, The i9, And Your USB Cord: Since this phone runs java, you'll get your games on the java website.  Most are free.  From your desktop computer, just google "get jar" and you'll find what you are looking for.  Once you're on this site, you'll see a games icon on the bottom of the left hand side.  You'll have your choice of action, adventure, board games, and the list goes on and on.  Click what you're looking for and you'll be first given the most popular game downloads in that category.  There are tons of things to chose from here, from the old stand bys like space invaders and pac man to the new popular games like Mobile Fighter.

Once you find a game that you want to download, click on the icon by it.  You will then be taken to the download screen.  Sometimes, you're asked to chose your device.  (Sometimes, the download file will automatically be there and you can skip this step.) You'll notice that as of this writing, there is no CECT i9 option on the pull down menu.  However, often there is a CECT A1000 option.  This is the generic option for CECT and this works.  Sometimes, you'll only find a generic option and this works too.  Alternatively, the Nokia 2610 and the 623 downloads often work too, for whatever reason.

Once you've chosen your device (if you have to), then you'll see the files there.  There are both jad and jar files.  There are two ways to download this - via your WAP browser or through your desktop computer.  If you want to connect to the Internet via your WAP browser, then you'll be given a code so that you can quickly get to the page that way.  However, I find that most people using this phone are budget conscious and are sometimes using a prepaid data card and don't want to waste data when they can download the games via their computer for free, without wasting their data.  This is the way that I chose to do it myself.

To go through your desktop, connect the USB cord to both your phone and your computer.  When the phone connects, you will have the option of hitting "mass storage." Do so.  Then click on the jar file and hit the save icon.  Save the file to whatever your phone is being called on your desktop. (For me, this is removable disk K. This may be different for you.)  Most of the phones' memory cards will have a folder named "received." Most people place their files into this folder. If you don't have this received file, you can create one, or put the file in any folder you wish.   Hit save.

Next, disconnect the USB cord from the phone. Go into your document icon on the menu of your phone.  Hit memory card.  Go into "received" or whatever folder you saved the game in.  Find the name of the game and click it.  Then hit install.  The game will install and then will ask you if you want to launch it.  If you do, hit yes.  If you don't, click no.

When you are ready to play the game later, hit the java icon on the start menu and go to "installed java software."  You should see your game listed.  Click it. Then hit launch. That's really all there is to it.

Fun Counting and Math Games for Children

Whether you have a 2 year old who is just starting to learn numbers or a 10 year old that knows subtraction or addition, it is never too early or too late to learn about counting or math games. Children that are young benefit from games that teach them how to count objects and recognize numbers whereas older children benefit from games that help them learn how to add and subtract and build the basis for learning about algebra.

Aside from the obvious board games where you roll the dice and move your game piece a certain number of spaces, there are plenty of other counting games that you can play. Dominoes can keep kids busy for hours. I recently spent over 1 hour playing with dominoes with my two year old. We counted the numbers of dots. We counted the dominos as we stacked them or put them in or out of the container. We lined them up and counted them together. After they were all lined up, I let him push the first domino to make them all fall down.

Hide things in your house such as blocks, plastic eggs or marbles. Before you hide them, count them with your child. Then, they can go find them all. Once they have been found, they can count them again to make sure that they have all been found. Older kids can add or subtract to figure out how many they have left to find. In order to encourage sharing, have two or more children hunt the objects. At the end of the hunt, count the number in each kid's bucket. Then work together to make sure that everyone has the same amount in their bucket.

Drop objects in a bucket or plastic containers that are lined up next to each other. Count how many objects are in each bucket. Count the number of objects that did not make it into a container. Once again, take the opportunity to incorporate addition or subtraction with older children.

Young children love learning about eyes, ears, fingers, toes, etc. Count body parts together. For instance ask, "How many eyes does Mommy have?" or "How many fingers do you have?" Count familiar household items such as pets, shoes or pots and pans.

Children also love to eat snacks, so incorporate counting with snack time. Ask "How many Cheerios do you have?" or "How many Goldfish are in the blue cup? How many are in the red cup?" Count out snacks to make sure each child has the same amount. If one child has two more Cheerios than another one, teach them to give the other child one of their's so that they have the same amount.

Be creative in teaching your child to count. They love to count and learn, but they also want to have fun too. It is possible to incorporate both in daily activities. Lead by example and show them how you count things. You don't want to have them counting and reciting numbers all day long, but at the same time there are so many opportunities to help them learn their numbers. Work with your children to come up with your own fun games and counting activities.

Add Excitement to Your Game With Starcraft Map Downloads

When you look online for Starcraft map downloads, you will find that there are three types of maps. There are scenarios and campaigns and maps for multiplayers. The multiplayer map is the basic one and is good to download when you and a friend want to play together. This is just an inert map with some starting positions. All of the positions are carefully arranged so that you can play a balanced game. The unit stats and behavior are not modified in any way from the original map. The standard rules of the StarCraft game apply to playing with multiplayer maps and you can choose to play against yourself or another player.

For a single player, you can download a Melee map in which you play against a number of computer based opponents. There is a variation of these maps called free For All, in which you and all your computer opponents fight against each other.

Scenarios are different Starcraft maps that you can download. These maps have predefines locations, triggers, and dialogue. They also have different rules of play and different missions from the standard maps. The plot is usually linear with some skirmishes or a series of objectives that you have to achieve while dealing with several players. Most scenarios try to tell a story and stringing a series of scenarios together helps you create a Campaign. In order to run a scenario, you have to use the icon for Use Map Settings on the game in order to enable the special units and triggers. All the Use Map Settings are part of the hardware of the game and you have to watch for them as you progress through the game play. These are usually single player maps.

You can download thousands of Starcraft maps, some of which are maps created by Blizzard Entertainment and others are ones that players have created on their own. You simply browse through the list of maps and read about it to choose one that you want to download to your computer. If you are just beginning the game, there are started maps to help you get used to playing different scenarios and characters. Some examples of these maps are:

- Enslavers: The Rescue. This map is a single player version for the veteran player. The story of this map occurs just after the fall of the Confederacy and Alan Schezar, the infamous pirate, hires Ghosts to enslave a Zerg. In this episode Protoss and Dominion forces join together to put an end to his scheme. You do need Broodwar to play this map and both levels must be placed in the Starcraft campaign folder in your directory. There are two more episodes of this map that you can download to make a campaign.

- Precursor Campaign. In this map, you journey to the farthest part of the galaxy to take command of a group of Confederate marines. This game is for both the novice and the veteran as you become involved in a series of events that will challenge your leadership and your ability to lead your troops to victory.

To download a map that you would like to play, all you have to do is click the download button on the screen.

Get Paid to Test Beta Games - How to Get a Job as a Video Game Tester

Have you ever dreamed of getting paid for playing video games? Well, if that's the case, you have come at the right place. With this opportunity, you will "work" (as if playing video games is work) with unreleased games about 4 hours a day, sometimes less, and you will get paid for that. It just doesn't get any better than this, especially if you are a gamer.

There are a lot of reasons for getting involved in such a program. First of all, you will be playing the latest video games before anyone else does. And not only that, but you will get paid to play those unreleased games, get free copies, access to cheat codes, level secrets, and other "bugs" that only game testers know about. Apart from that, the job is serious and you will receive some real world experience working with company departments and learn about the development, marketing, manufacturing, customer service and testing phases of each game.

Finding a program that is legitimate, pays-off and really does what it promises is not easy as there are a lot of imitators online these days. Beware that there are a lot of websites claiming that after you pay a given monthly subscription you will get paid to play games online, but at the end, everything turns out to be a lie. It takes time to land a job in the gaming industry, because of the competitiveness of the field. Some companies can take a month or more to reply, so usually memberships come with a 6+ month subscription, you get updates for 6-24 months, resources, and lots of other stuff.

Instead of wasting your time doing a research on your own, you can simply pay a given fee and get the results in a few seconds. In that way, you will use the experience that others had to work hard to gain so that you don't have to go through the disappointments and effort of the others. Such websites that offer gamer testing jobs sell you a guide that will show you the sites that real people have used to find real jobs that pay for game testing. They have done the trail blazing for you, so that you can save your time.

You may be asking your self the logical question as of why would someone pay you to play video games? Well, the answer is quite reasonable. Nowadays, the gaming industry is bigger than ever before. This is a $50 billion dollar business. Companies worldwide produce games on a daily basis and one thing is for sure - those games will have bugs in them, and if those bugs are not found this will result in millions of dollars of losses for that company. So, they need people like you, who can spot those problems and notify them. And also, remember that programmers are not necessarily gamers, thus they don't see things the way you do. They might develop a new game feature that they think it's cool, but from the gamer's perspective; it could be a total disaster. That's why they need your opinion.

The benefits related to this kind of job, especially for people who like playing video games are a lot. Life is short, so it's always best to work something that you love. Most testing jobs don't require formal education, so you don't need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science to get the job. The only hard requirement is that you need to be 18 years of age or older. Depending on your effort and level of expertise, you can earn as much as $120 per hour! And last but not least, there are jobs at which you can test the games whenever you want, instead of a regular 9-5.

Japanese Nintendo Wii Games Are Weird, Wacky, And Lots Of Fun- Own An Island Of Dogs On Nintendo Wii

Japanese Wii games offer gamers not only more choices in the amount of software available stateside, but also a closer look at the weird, wacky - and extremely fun games released only in Japan. I say weird and wacky, and Japanese games often are weird or wacky, but more importantly they are also loads of fun to play, often very unique and offer gamers a bigger sampling of games than just your run of the mill first person shooters.

In this 12 part series, I'll cover some of the more unique and weird Japanese games that are now released for the Japanese market. I'll be covering 3 or 4 soon to be released games as well, as they have full details online. The difference being that with these pre-release articles, I won't be able to go into too much detail as far as the gameplay is concerned.

For American and Canadian readers, and European and UK readers as well. I feel it is very important to point out that in order to be able to play these games, you will need to install a Nintendo Wii Mod Chip into your Wii console. Once installed, you'll be able to play all of the latest Japanese games (and European gamers can play all the latest USA releases, too). There are several options for Nintendo Wii Mod chips, and while I will not make any recommendation, I will tell you that the one that is installed in my Nintendo Wii is the WiiKey chip. It has never failed and and works with all of the Japanese and European games on the market to date, as well of course as allowing me to play my USA released games just as I did before.

On to the first game in my series of Japanese game reviews. It's a dog's life on Dog Island. This cute and wacky game immediately brought thoughts of Nintendo's NintenDogs Series for the Nintendo DS. However, the fact these titles share the theme on dogs is about the only thing that is similar about the the two games. It's also important to note that NintenDogs was exclusively for the hand held Nintendo DS console, while Yuke's The Dog Island is available for the Nintendo Wii (perhaps with an NDS version to follow).

Now, instead of just raising and taking care of your Dogs on Dog island, much like you would have done with NintenDogs, there are many more things to consider and do. The story begins in a small town somewhere, we don't know where this small town is, but do know that it's a small town nonetheless. And as is common in small towns, it's the day of the great festival and you've won the official festival treasure hunt. Being the kind hearted kid you are, you decide to give away your prize to your little brother, who just happens to have snuck out of the house against your mother's wishes and instructions. Problems start when your brother collapses. As it turns out, he has an illness and the ONLY way you can cure him is to take him to a place called Dog Insland and get some medicine. This of course involes a journey across the dangerous seas in a pirate's boat, but you decide to take up the challenge.

The trouble doesn't start OR end here. There are lots of enemies that get in your way as you make your way around exploring the world that is Dog Island. If you even get close to snakes, wild boar, or gorillas and they growl (or in case of the snake, hiss) at you and give you menacing looks, your life meter will be depeleted. They don't actually attack you in any way at all, but it appears that just looking at you in a menacing way is enough to get your life down.

You don't actually have any attack options per se. And enemies you walk by may be asleep, in which case they can not harm your life level. They may also be awake, aware that you are there, but just peacefully going about their business as usual. You do actually have on mode of, well, sort of an attack. You can sneak up behind your enemies and bark at them. Depending on the strenght of your bark, you can actually put an enemy in a daze of sorts.

While this may seem a little silly - I did mention that it was a weird and wacky game - all of the enemies and life meters are not really what the main purpose of this game is. The main role of your dog in Dog Island is collection things. Actually, rather than saying the focus of this game is on collecting things, it would be more accurate to say that the focus is on collecting smells, new smells.

All in all, it is a much different game than the Nintendo DS game of a similar theme, where you only feed and care for the dogs, as opposed to actually controlling one of 48 available pets. While all of this mean seem silly and not very engaging as far as video games go. Dog Island kept me playing for about and hour and a half in one sitting. I more than likely would have played longer, but I had to move on to the next game. If you're interested in this type of Japanese game, I recommend it highly.

Neopets Cheats 1 - The 5 Best Games To Make Neopoints

There are lots of games you can play to get Neopoints. So many, in fact, that we could spend weeks talking about them all. Instead, we've given you 5 of what we've found to be some of the best games in Neopets. This in no ways says which games are the most fun to play, and you might find that you are extremely talented in playing a game that is not on my list. In general, we've found these games to give players the best chance at making the easiest, quickest Neopoints possible.

THE BEST GAMES

1. Attack of the Gummy Dice: NP Ratio 1, Difficulty 4.1

Ok, so the NP ration on this game isn't the best...but it is decent, and the game is pretty easy-kind of like a variation on Tetris.

2. Destruct-O-Match II: NP Ratio .3, Difficulty 4.7

Though the NP Ratio on this game is horrible, the first time I ever played it I earned over 350 Neopoints. The game is really simply to learn and fast to play, and I bet you've seen versions of this before on other gaming sites. Hands down, it is one of the quickest games in terms of earning Neopoints.

3. Hasee Bounce: NP Ratio 3, Difficulty 4.4

I love this game! The NP ratio is fairly high and you'll quickly understand how to bounce the hasee to collect the doughnut fruit. Give it a try; it's worth the time.

4. Kiko Match II: NP Ratio 2, Difficulty 4.1

This is basically a timed game of memory. It's fairly easy to play and advance through the levels once you get the hang of it, and the NP Ratio is great.

5. Kou-Jung: NP Ratio 1.25, Difficulty 4.6

I'm sure you've played this game before, and it's actually quite simple to learn. If you haven't-all you have to do is pair matching tiles. Play on "hard" and you'll make pretty many points in three levels.

If you spend your time concentrating on these, (and other) Neopets games, you should be able to make more Neopoints than you ever had before.

  • Includes a bonus DVD
  • Re-live great movie moments as you race each other around the board - Be the first to make the Final Cut and win the game
  • If you're really into movies then let Scene It? Movie 2nd Edition put your movie trivia knowledge to the ultimate test

The popular board game that has players watching video clips and shouting out answers is now available in an upgraded movie theme. This second edition of Screenlife’s Scene It? Movie game is chock full of questions, characters, and clips from both new and classic films of the silver screen. From older films like E.T. and Casablanca to new favorites such as The Devil Wears Prada and Ocean’s 11, the game asks challenging questions about characters and scenes.

Pop the game’s DVD into your player to start the star studded fun. Loaded with new clips and puzzles, this updated version touches on oversized apes to princess brides and all things in between. There are over 1,000 questions on the 160 trivia cards, so even if you see the same snippet from the 180 on the DVD during the same game, the question about that scene will be different. Special technology randomizes the order of the clips to ensure fresh fun each time the game is played.

The interactive game board can be spread out for longer games, or folded for a smaller board when you don’t have a lot of time (or that many players). To help you move around the board there are four metal tokens with movie genre themes (wind-up chatter teeth, a heart-shaped box of chocolates, a car in mid flight, and a hand reaching from beyond the grave), one six-sided die to determine how many spaces to move, and one eight-sided die that determines the category to be played. Once the dice have been rolled, clips are watched, questions are asked, and it’s revealed just how much you know. Use memory, logic, and your pop culture knowledge to answer various challenges about famous quotes, imaginative characters, and the actors who brought them to life. Categories range from Quotables and Who Am I? to Soundclips and more.

Movie Scene It?
All the components that come with this Movie Scene It? Game.
Whether you attend new releases on opening weekend or rent the classics, this game is easy enough to learn and fun enough to play for everyone. The casual movie watcher can answer questions by using puzzle-solving skills or by paying close attention to the movie clips. There are also 30 Buzz cards available to help (or occasionally hinder) progress. If these reasons aren’t enough to tempt you into a game on your own, then co-produce a blockbuster with a friend or family member by playing in team mode first.

A TV, DVD player, and remote control are needed but not included. The DVD includes an on-screen demonstration of game play.
